Mandated Reporter Training Contain Multiple Courses
Most of the Mandated Reporter training consists of multiple modules, typically a few course modules, followed by an exam module. If it helps, you can think of it like a math equation...
General Course + Profession-Specific Course + Exam = Certificate
See an example training below.
| School Personnel Child Abuse Prevention Training for California |
This training consists of three modules:
|
Completion of all three of the above modules results in the School Personnel certificate.
What if my training progress is stuck? Why is not letting me move on?
Sometimes our course player doesn't record all of the interactions or clicks you've made and marks the course as incomplete. If this is happening, please submit a help desk ticket and our agents will be able to assist you.
IMPORTANT - If you need to pause the course and come back later, we highly suggest using Exit Training or Exit Course buttons to save progress__.
Pre-Requisite Courses
When you add your training, you'll notice that most of the module icons are disabled (greyed out), with the exception of the first module. This training is required to be completed in order. This means that you need to complete the first module before you can move onto the second module, and so on. Generally, we want you to take the courses before you can take the exam.
*Once you've completed the first module, you can still access the completed course content until you complete the entire training and earn a certificate.
General Training is Included in Profession-Specific Training
In order to maintain compliance with state laws for mandated reporters, the General Training course is a required pre-requisite for all of the profession-specific training. You will see the General Training course required in all profession-specific training.*
There is common confusion that learners need a certificate for every individual course. This isn't necessary. The certificate produced as part of your profession-specific training INCLUDES the General Training.
*A few trainings are based on the standalone General Training: Human Resources, Supervisors, Volunteers.
