Much of the training in Mandated Reporter Training consists of more than one course - we like to call this a learning path. In most cases, the first course is a pre-requisite that must be completed before the next course becomes available.
Save Your Progress Before Exiting the Course Player
What if my training progress is stuck? Why is not letting me move on?
Sometimes our course player doesn't record all of the interactions or clicks you've made and marks the course as incomplete. If this is happening, please submit a help desk ticket and our agents will be able to assist you.
IMPORTANT - If you need to pause the course and come back later, we highly suggest using Exit Training or Exit Course buttons to save progress__.
Accessing the Next Course
Most training consists of two courses and an exam: General Training, Profession Specific Training, and Exam. Depending on the profession and the state, sometimes there are more courses, sometimes there are less.
Each course must be completed in its entirety before the next course will be made available. For a course to display as completed, you must view all pages and answer all the challenge questions.
Confirming All Pages Are Viewed
To ensure you have viewed all pages in a course, you can review the Menu option in the course player (on desktop, this is in the top left of the course player). Viewed pages will display a checkmark next to the page name. This is a quick way to find out which pages are not viewed.
Please note that you can expand lessons to see all the pages within the lesson. If a lesson is complete, the title row will also have a checkmark.
If your course is still registering as Incomplete and you have confirmed all pages have been viewed, please reach out to our technical support team for additional assistance.
Completed Standalone General Training
Sometimes people will complete the standalone General Training assuming that it is part of their Profession Specific training.
The General Training course is a required pre-requisite for all of the profession-specific trainings including: School Personnel, Child Care Providers, Mental Health & Social Workers, Medical Professionals, Law Enforcement, and Clergy.
However, it is now included along with your Profession Specific training so you don't have to complete both separately and earn two certificates. The certificate you are issued for your professional training includes your completion of all the courses in the training.
If you completed/purchased the standalone General Training instead of the General Training attached to your Profession Specific course, please contact our technical support team who can assist you further.
